WINTER'S BEHIND THE WHEEL
At Behind the Wheel we tailor a comprehensive training program to both teen and adult needs. Patient and understanding instructors will work with students one on one in a variety of driving conditions and situations. We believe in a well rounded course that will include but not limited to gravel roads, all types of highway, residential roads, intersections, and downtown driving in Jamestown, ND. Our goal is to help develop confidence in you or your teen's abilities and decisions in any situation they may be faced with.
Wavier Program!
We are proud to announce we have obtained a driving program that is accepted by the state of North Dakota to fulfill the 30 hour class requirement. The Online program is created by AAA. Cost for the class is $125 and is non-refundable . We are currently accepting Cash or check for the class. We are hoping to start accepting credit/debit cards in the future! We do accept Venmo! Student Registration Instructions
1. Visit the Student Registration button above.
2. Enter your redemption code and click submit.
3. Complete the registration information with the name of the student who will be completing the course.
4. Begin your course.
5 Click the Resume Course button above to complete the AAA Driver's course at your own pace.

Online Course Details
As teens set out on their journey of independence, they need a solid foundation of knowledge, skills, and plans to reduce their risk behind the wheel. Quality driver education is a critical element in developing safe driving attitudes, improving hazard recognition, and managing visibility, time, and space in traffic.
AAA plays a key role in preparing teens for this journey by offering the How to Drive Online program, which delivers rules and essential elements of safe driving in an interactive and innovative way. This online program aims to ensure that safe driving habits are developed and maintained for life. As a leader in driver safety for more than 75 years, you can trust AAA to help keep drivers safe.
Course Features:
Convenient and self-paced delivery
The most up-to-date information from scientifically validated sources
Topics covered include: Rules of the Road, Distracted Driving, Impaired Driving, Safe Driving Practices, Hazard Perception Training and other important topics.
Innovative delivery including video, synchronous presentations, simulations and interactive exercises to enhance content retention
Also available, an optional virtual parent session designed to educate parents on the learning-to-drive process.
Teen Drivers Options
Option 1:
If the individual desires to obtain another driver’s license before their 18th birthday, the individual must:
Pass a permit test and hold the permit for the required amount of time.
Complete an approved driver education course, which includes our AAA course. (Completing this course allows the student to avoid the DOT road test)
Log 30 hours of driving time with a parent or guardian.
Once the online driver education course is complete, certificates will be presented to print at the end of the online course.
Pass 6 hour Behind the Wheel course and demonstrate both skill and aptitude in all areas.
At this time if everything above is completed a wavier certificate will be issued that can be turned into the DOT for the students license.
Option 2:
The individual may also choose to:
Pass a permit test.
Log 30 hours of driving time with a parent or guardian.
Complete 6 hour Behind the Wheel course.
Schedule and pass a road test.
